PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining center, coping with both of horizontal and vertical turret heads in one machine body. SOLUTION: A saddle 4 is supported to be moved in the X-axis direction by a column 3 fixed on a bed 2, a turret base 5 is supported to be moved in the Y-axis direction by the saddle 4, and a quill 6 is supported to be moved in the Z-axis direction by the turret base 5. The horizontal turret head 20 disposed parallel to the axis C of the quill so that two or more tools T are positioned on the circumference round the quill axis C and the vertical turret head 50 disposed so that the two or more tools are radially right-angled to the quill axis C are selectively removably mounted on the quill 6.
