It is intended to attain width reduction, size reduction, cost reduction, etc., for a pilot safety shut off device for gas. A pilot safety shut off device for gas comprises a thermocouple unit (200) having a pair of female terminals (204, 205) connected to a heat sensing section (201), and a first connector (206) holding the pair of female terminals, and an electromagnetic valve unit (100) having a pair of male terminals (105, 107) connected to an exciting coil (103), a valve disk (111) driven by electromagnetic force produced by feeding current to the coil, and a second connector (107) adapted to be fitted to the first connector so as to connect the pair of male terminals to the pair of female terminals. The pair of male terminals include a cylindrical male terminal (107) cylindrically formed to serve as a second connector, and a pin-like male terminal (105) disposed inside the cylindrical male terminal. The pair of female terminals include an inner female terminal (204) including a pair of spring pieces capable of holding the pin-like male terminal (105), and an outer female terminal (205) including a pair of spring pieces capable of holding the wall surface of the cylindrical male terminal (107). Thereby, width reduction and size reduction of the device can be attained.
