A postcard for sending secure data has removable foil panels on either side of the postcard enabling the recipient to access the data and to verify that the data is still secure, i.e. the security foil is intact. Removing the foil generates irreversible markings. The foil provides an opaque mask or the data. The data can be in the form a plastic card, e.g. a credit or chip card.
