ILLUMINATOR, AND IMAGING APPARATUS HAVING LIGHTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform lighting with an illumination distribution according to an irradiation direction by dimming for each segment obtained by isogonally dividing a number of emission sections for applying light toward an object to be irradiated from the periphery to an irradiation center in which illumination light gathers.

SOLUTION: A control section 6 for dimming the emission section for each segment comprises an illumination distribution setting apparatus 7 for individually setting illumination for respective segments S1-S4, according to the starting point of a vector on an XY coordinates surface D for expressing the starting position of the vector for expressing an irradiation direction toward an illumination center F with the illumination center F as an origin P0; and a dimmer 9 for dimming by reading illumination for each of the respective segments S1-S4from the illumination distribution setting apparatus 7, according to input data from a two-dimensional data inputting means 8 for setting the starting position.
