PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the freezing of a surveillance camera apparatus in a cold district, and to reduce the power consumption of the surveillance camera. SOLUTION: The camera apparatus is composed of a camera, a camera platform coupled with the camera, heating means provided on the camera and the camera platform, and a first control unit for controlling the camera, the camera platform and the heating means. The camera, the camera platform and the heating means have second, third and fourth control units each controlling power supply, respectively. The first control unit is provided with a table for controlling operation times of the camera, the camera platform and the heating means.
