PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an editing device for tape carrier for semiconductor device that can consistently perform processing, such as the various editing operations, particle removal, judgments of non-defective products and defective products, and so on. SOLUTION: The editing device is provided with an editing section 2 which performs cutting, dividing, etc., on a TAB tape 6, a particle removing section 3 which removes particles from the front and rear surfaces of the TAB tape 6, and an image processor 4 which counts the non-defective products and defective products of the TAB tape 6 between a TAB tape feeding reel 10 which feeds the TAB tape 6 and a TAB take-up reel 50 which takes up the TAB tape 6.
