PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mental calculation practice machine that enables a child, a student, etc., to perform practice of mental calculation. SOLUTION: The battery-driven type portable mental calculation practice machine 1 is equipped with a segment type liquid crystal panel 5, a power key 11, a CHOICE key 13, an up key 15, a down key 17, a START key 19, and an ANSWER key 21. A ROM 33 stores problem setting conditions of elementary 1, elementary 2, grades 1 to 10, and stages 1 to 10. When a problem setting level is selected by operating the CHOICE key 13, UP key 15, and DOWN key 17, a problem setting condition is set according to the storage contents of the ROM 33. Then when the START key 19 is pressed, a random number is generated to generate problems, and numbers are switched and displayed on a liquid crystal panel 5 from the 1st problem to the final problem in order according to a display control time.
