<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure impact resistance and durability of a resin gear to make it withstand long-term usage by improving strength of the resin gear to prevent the generation of backlash, in regard to a gear mechanism for transmitting power by driving engaged gears having the same number of tooth. <P>SOLUTION: In the gear mechanism for transmitting power by engaging the gears 10 and 11 having the same number of tooth, a FRP gear is used as, at least, one of them, and the gears 10 and 11 are engaged without generating backlash. The FRP gear is manufactured from a fabric based phenol resin layered material, and the fabric based phenol resin layered material is formed by laminating a plurality of pre-preg, while arranging fibers F in different directions. The FRP gear 11 manufactured from the fabric based phenol resin layered material has excellent tensile strength, bending strength and shearing strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
