METHOD FOR CONCEALING IC TAG DATA, IC TAG, AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING MERCHANDISE INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for managing merchandise information with high security; an IC tag for use therewith; and a method for concealing IC tag data by which data stored in the IC tag are concealed.

SOLUTION: Data stored in a first IC tag 1 are encrypted using data stored in a second IC tag 2 different from the first IC tag 1, to conceal the data stored in the first IC tag 1. The data in the first IC tag 1 thus encrypted are decrypted only when the data stored in the second IC tag 2 are used.
