<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make light distribution patterns appropriate for both of a light distribution pattern for low beams and a light distribution pattern for high beam, in a projector type vehicle headlight having a movable shade. <P>SOLUTION: An auxiliary shade 34 constituted so as to shade a reflected light from a lower-part reflecting region 24b of a reflector 24 is made to move from a shading position, to shade the reflected light from the lower-part reflecting region 24b to a shading release position to release this shading, in cooperation with the movable shade 32 moving from the shading position in forming the light distribution pattern for the low beams to the shading release position in forming the light distribution pattern for the high beams. As a result of this, regarding the lower-part reflecting region 24b, without taking into consideration at all the influence on the light distribution pattern for the low beams, the lower-part reflecting region 24b can be set in a reflecting face shape, where only formation of the light distribution pattern for the high beams is taken into consideration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
