PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of a dent in a first road surface caused by the passage of a vehicle, in a road comprising an asphalt road surface made of a road surface material having low hardness and a second road surface made of a road surface material having high hardness, which are continuously arranged in a traveling direction. SOLUTION: An expansion joint device 10 comprises a right concrete section 12, a left concrete section 13 and a finger joint 11 being an expansion joint fitted into recess parts of both the concrete sections to bridge an expansion gap 3. The upper face of the rear side concrete section 13 constitutes a wheel rut preventing device 14. The wheel rut preventing device has an elastic body 15, in which a hard member 17 made of iron and having a shape of a flat plate is embedded in a state that it inclines upwardly on the right in the direction of a bridge axis and extends in a direction perpendicular to the bridge axis.
