PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein in an inverter circuit used in the fields of industry and automobile, the noise produced by a film capacitor due to the vibrations and beating sounds of a film becomes higher, as compared with the commercial frequencies, because specifications for high-voltage high-frequency applications are required for the inverter circuit. SOLUTION: In a metallized film capacitor, at least one or more capacitor elements constituted by winding metallized films formed by vapor-depositing a metal on one or both surfaces of plastic films are disposed in an encapsulating case, and resin is packed in the case. The metallized film capacitor is further reduced in noise to the outside through improvement of the sound insulating effect of the capacitor, by suppressing the propagation of the vibrations and beating sounds of the capacitor elements to the outside.
