PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent degradation of a waterproof property of a rubber plug of a waterproof connector. SOLUTION: A shield pin 1 for the waterproof connector is composed of a cylindrical body part 29 and a hat-shaped diameter-increased part 31 formed coaxially with the body part 29 at its one end; and an inclined surface 33 is formed in the circumference of the diameter-increased part 31 by gradually increasing its diameter from the end with the diameter-increased part 31 formed toward the side opposite to it. The body part 29 of the shield pin 1 is so formed as to be pressed in a through-hole 21 of the rubber plug 3 disposed in a tube body 5 of the waterproof connector of a mounting object; and the inclined surface 33 formed on the diameter-increased part 31 is formed by making it correspond to an inclined part 17 formed in the tube body 5 of the waterproof connector in contact with the inclined surface 33. Thereby, since the shield pin can be mounted only by inserting only the body part 29 into the through-hole 21 of the rubber plug 3, a lip part of the rubber plug 3 is prevented from being damaged in mounting it, so that degradation of the waterproof property due to the damage of the lip part can be prevented.
