PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device, in which a user is discriminated out of a plurality of users, and a reproduction start position based on a past stop position can be set for each user. SOLUTION: A user inputs initially a user name and a pass word to a hard disk recorder 10 as user setting. After user setting, the user A starts reproduction of a program #1 from the head position, when reproduction is interrupted, an information control part 11 makes a time at which reproduction is interrupted as a resume point of the user A, stores it in a program information storage part 113 as program information of the program #1 and controls it. The next time, when the user A performs reproduction operation of the program #1, the information control part 11 confirms the resume point of the user A of the program #1 based on stored program information of the program information storage part 113, and starts reproduction of a HDD 12from a position corresponding to a time at which reproduction is interrupted.
