PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera adapter which is easily grasped and prevents a camera from easily falling over when attached to a camera, which does not limit the type of a camera to which the camera adapter is attached, and which prevents an attached card-type electronic device from being easily damaged. SOLUTION: The upper face of the camera adapter 1 is attachable to and detachable from the bottom of the camera 20 which has a shutter button 21 on the left when the camera is viewed from front. In order to operate the shutter button 21 with the adapter connected to the camera 20, the width of a side R which is grasped with the right hand, is almost the same as the width of the camera 20. The width of a side L which is located opposite from the side R, is greater than the width of the side R. In addition, a cable 4 is storable in the main body 2 of the camera adapter. Further, a recess 8 is formed in the main body 2 of the camera adapter, and a card slot 9 in which a PHS card 30 or a memory cart 31 can be mounted is formed in the recess 8.
