PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a metal plate easily without using a screw or a rivet. SOLUTION: The method for securing two metal plates while attaching to each other comprises a step for forming an opening 300 in a first metal plate 140, a step for forming a protrusion 200 being inserted into the opening 300 on a second metal plate 120, a step for inserting the protrusion 200 on the second metal plate 120 into the opening 300 of the first metal plate 140, and a step for securing the protrusion 200 not to be drawn out by deforming the vicinity of the opening 300 plastically after the protrusion 200 is inserted into the opening 300 thereby reducing the width of the opening 300.
