PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring an electric field, which can improve its measurement sensitivity to changes in the electric field and can make up an inexpensive measuring system by reducing the number and length of optical fibers, eliminating the need for an optical switch and utilizing a light source and a light detecting section, when measuring the changes in the electric field of a wide range area. SOLUTION: An optical transmission line forming one channel is made up by using optical fibers 11, 15, 18, 21 and 24, and a laser light source 12 and the light detecting section 25 are respectively arranged at one end and the other end of the optical transmission line, and two or more light transmission type electric field sensors 14, 17, 20 and 23 are arranged at intermediate positions on the optical transmission line. When changes in light intensity of laser light from the laser light source 12 occur in at least one of the two or more light transmission type electric field sensors 14, 17, 20 and 23, the changes are detected by the light detecting section 25.
