The compaction wall (21) rests against the conveying belt (11) (a sieve belt). Together, they form a wedge-shaped gap (22). The wall (21) has a surface (23) resting against the belt (11), covering part of the suction slot (16) cross section. The wedge-shaped gap narrows in the transport direction (A) of the fibrous band (1). The compaction wall (21) deflects the fibrous band, which is displaced against the bordering edge, to the center of the suction slot. The wall is convex and is located only in the central region of the suction slot. The wall is spaced (x) from a second nip location (3), which is less than the mean fiber length. The surface (23) resting against the belt is spring-loaded. The belt is a sieve belt. The edge bordering the side, is slightly inclined to the conveying direction (A) of the band, forming an edge for fiber guidance.
|
