An apparatus for coating an alignment film is provided to transmit a uniform amount of alignment liquid from a subordinate supply pipe to a head by reducing pressure difference among subordinate supply pipes connected to the same main supply pipe. A plurality of subordinate discharge pipes(44) branch out from each of main supply pipes(42a,42b) and are adjacent to each other in the same main supply pipe. A plurality of heads(53a-53d) are connected to the subordinate discharge pipes, respectively. The heads are adjacent to each other in the subordinate discharge pipes that branch out from the same main supply pipe.
