DIFFERENTIAL CODING PROCESS

摘要

A differential coding method is provided to offer the same quality at a low cost and improve the quality of an adjusted output image. A prediction image block is selected among a plurality of candidate blocks, using a difference function between a candidate block designated by a motion vector having components assigned to a current image block and the current image block. The prediction image block is selected by difference between a block in a reference image and a co-located block of the current image block in a B-type image. The block in the reference image is designated by the motion vector having the components which are assigned to the co-located block and are in a colinear state with the motion vector.
