AIR THROTTLE DEVICE FOR FUEL INJECTION COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air throttle device having compact and simple construction easy to manufacture, assemble and maintain while protecting a circuit sensitive to heat.

SOLUTION: The air throttle device 14 comprises an integrated electronic control unit ECU 16 and a heat sensitive microprocessor 40 arranged in an internal section chamber 78 defined between the outer surface of a thermally well conductive throttle body 18 and a circuit board of the ECU 16. The throttle body 18 has a airflow passage 20 via which combustion air flows into a piston cylinder. Because relatively cold and non-laminar air flow cools the internal section chamber 78 of the ECU, the microprocessor 40 is protected against overheat through the throttle body 18. Furthermore, a heat conductive heat sink 82 of the ECU 16 is exposed into the internal section chamber 78 and engages directly with a transistor 90 for transmitting heat from an internal circuit to surrounding environment outside the throttle device 14.
