<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an client to view each part's status of the machine easily in a home page format. <P>SOLUTION: The machine stores an HTML file which constitutes a status screen showing statuses of several internal devices. When a status change of the device is detected, the HTML file is rewritten. The rewritten HTML file is transmitted to a client machine in response to a request from the client machine connected via a network to enable the status screen to be browsed in the client machine's WWW browser. When a client machine user connected to the machine via the network selects the "Status" icon of the status html, the client machine's WWW browser requests the updated status html. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
