<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which prevents both of a detection error in a belt speed change caused by a change in the length of the circumference of an intermediate transfer belt 41 and a detection error in a belt speed change caused by a change in the waveform of the cyclic belt speed change which occurs for some reason each time the belt makes one rotation. <P>SOLUTION: The mark pattern 80 in which two first mark images 81a and 81b and one second mark image 82 are arranged on the intermediate transfer belt 41 in the direction of the movement of the surface of the belt 41 are recorded such that a time interval from the completion of the recording of the first mark image 81a to the completion of the recording of the first mark image 81b is shorter than a time interval from the completion of the recording of the first mark image 81b to the completion of the recording of the second mark image 82. A control part, not shown, is structured so as to perform an operation for calculating the belt speed change based upon the result of the detection of each of the mark images of the mark pattern 80 by a mark sensor 71 and based on a predetermined operation formula. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
