<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a circuit arrangement which realizes an instantaneous decoding in an image display device performing an instantaneous encoding having a run-length determination circuit which can store data in a storing means and perform an instantaneous encoding of image data. <P>SOLUTION: This image display device is provided with a determining means composing the processing of replacing a frequency of "0" or "1" data continuation with run-length codes which are continuation of the same data only by a combining circuit, among image data obtained by the image data obtaining means (line buffer 2209); an image data storing means (video memory 2214) for storing the run-length codes encoded by the determining means; and an image display means for decoding the image data from the run-length codes stored in the image data storing means (video memory 2214) to be displayed. The device performs the processing of replacing the run-length codes stored in the image data storing means (video memory 2214) with image data by a circuit arrangement only by a combining circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
