PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focus status indicating instrument which an user can perform surely and easily a determination of a focus status of a camera and a validation and conditioning of focus, and the focus indicating operating condition method in an indicating device with which size and resolution of a camera built-in mobile terminal instrument are restricted. SOLUTION: The focus status indicating condition instrument is provided with a focal region extraction means to extract a picture signal of predetermined region from a picturized picture signal, an edge enhancement processing means to emphasize an edge of the extracted picture signal, a time duration integrated value calculation means to compute an integrated value in a fixed time duration of the emphasized picture signal, a focus status distinction means to distinguish the focus status of the imaged picture signal based on the calculated integrated value, anda focus indicating operating condition means to display the distinguished focus status.
