PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by facilitating the user to grasp an error rate overlooking and a numerical value in display of an error rate of digital data recorded in a recording medium. SOLUTION: A graph data display regions 52a, 52b, numerical data display regions 53a, 53b, 53c, and a time series data display region 64 are displayed, an error rate and a time code of digital data in a recording medium are obtained from a DVC camcoder, and they are displayed as graph data, numerical value data, and time series data. When moving operation of a track bar 60 is performed, display is updated so that the error rate, corresponding to a position after movement of the track bar, is displayed. When arbitrary time series data are selected, a numerical value data display region is updated so that the error rate included in selected time series data is displayed, while the track bar is moved to a position corresponding to the error rate.
