PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of not only improving response speed but improving motion blurring without impairing brightness of an image. SOLUTION: In the display device whose response speed is improved by using an overdrive correction circuit which adjusts voltage impression quantity to a liquid crystal element, the number of frames per second is increased by a memory and a frame converter circuit. Specifically, a motion vector is generated from pieces of data about frames Fn-1 and Fn in a motion prediction circuit. A new frame is generated by a motion compensation circuit from the motion vector and the pieces of data about the frames Fn-1 and Fn. Thus, the response speed of a display element itself is further improved and a high motion blurring improvement effect is also obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
