PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to fix the welt unit to a flange surely and easily without using core metal or double-sided tapes. SOLUTION: A weather strip 1 is equipped with a roughly inverted U-shape welt unit 2, attached to a flange 201 at the opening edge portion of a trunk room, and a hollow seal unit 3. The welt unit 2 is composed of the first leg unit 21, which is combined with the vehicle interior face of the flange 201; a connection unit 22, which is combined with the external face of a bent unit 201c at the tip of the flange 201; the second leg unit 23, which sandwiches the flange 201 jointly with the first leg unit 21; and an engagement unit 24, which is linked with an end of the second leg unit 23, and which protrudes toward the side of the first leg unit 21. On the engagement unit 24, the first face 24a, which confronts the vehicle exterior side face of the flange 201, and the second face 24b, which confronts the interior face of the bent unit 201c. Further on the second face 24b, a seal lip unit 25, designed to seal a border with the interior face of the bent unit 201c, is installed in a manner to flexibly contact the interior face of the bent unit 201c.
