PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension system including hydraulic cylinders and accumulators connected with the cylinders, enabling a quick vehicle height adjustment. SOLUTION: The suspension system for a vehicle is structured so that the hydraulic cylinders 10-16 and the accumulators 40-46 are connected with a vehicle height adjusting device 28. According to this system, the working liquid flows out as well from the cylinders 10-16 as the accumulators 40-46 in order to lower the vehicle height by operation of the vehicle height adjusting device 28 to result in taking a long time, but if solenoid valves 50-56 are shut off in order to lower thr vehicle height, no working liquid will flow out from the accumulators 40-46, so that the liquid is allowed to flow out quickly from the cylinders 10-16 to result in a shorter time for lowering the height to the target value.
