PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective technology for preventing an unconsidered consumption of a metal electrode in a wastewater treatment apparatus having an electrode device for performing an electrode treatment of wastewater to be treated, retained in a wastewater treatment area, by using a pair of the metal electrodes. SOLUTION: In a phosphorus filter 300 disposed in a carrier-fluidized biological filtration tank composing the wastewater treatment apparatus, one metal electrode 304 is disposed so as to incline against the other metal electrode 304, thereby the distance d between a pair of the metal electrodes 304, 304 is gradually expanded from their tip end parts 304b to base end parts 304a.
