PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-price foam for a sole which is lightweight, excels in wet-grip performance, prevents the wet-grip performance from easily deteriorating with time, and is also excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The foam for sole is made of rubber and/or resin, and 0.5 or more and under 10 pts.wt. ground leather which can pass through 100μm to 3.0 mm sieve openings is blended to the 100 pts.wt. rubber and/or resin, and the foam for sole has 120μm to 3.5 mm cells(cavities) touching the ground leather in the foam.
