A vegetable compartment in a cool cabinet (10) comprises a removable open-topped holder (200) with a guide element and an inclined top section (410). A dividing element in the cabinet covers the top of the holder with a plate near the door which is moved by the inclined part to enlarge the opening when the holder is pulled out. An Independent claim is also included for a vegetable compartment as above in which there is also a rail and a second plate.
