A system for pressing connecting flanges into the ends of brake pipes has a press tool with upper and lower parts which grip the end of the pipe and press a shaping tool head into the pipe. The press heads are fitted onto axial supports (28) and are exchangeable to operate on a range of pipe sizes. The press heads are extracted and fitted by axial pressure and are head by tapering profiles.
