<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to save electric power more than in the conventional case by processing collectively requirements for printing from external devices at a prescribed time during an electric power saving condition while electric power supply except instruments necessary for communication with the external devices under the electric power saving condition is suppressed as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: When the requirement for printing of printing data is received from a host device 2 (the external device) (on the Y-side of S31) under a condition where it is shifted to an energy-saving mode, information for the requirement related to the requirement for the printing is stored (S32). Thereafter, when it is detected that the time reaches one or a plurality of processing times set in advance (on the Y-side of S12), in a case when the unprocessed information for the requirement is stored (on the Y-side of S21), a shift to an operating mode (S23), the requirement and receiving of the printing data to the host device, and an image formation (S24) based on the printing data are respectively practiced.
