<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material which is excellent in coloring sensitivity and saturation density and excellent in preservation of texture and an image, and to provide a recording sheet having a recording material layer comprising the recording material. <P>SOLUTION: The recording material contains at least one kind of a compound represented by at least one kind of a color developing dye, at least one kind of a compound represented by a formula (1) (in the formula, X and Y represent hydrocarbon group or the like which may have saturation, unsaturation or ether bond of 1-12C allowed to have direct chain or branch, and R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>6</SP>represent 1-6C alkyl group or the like. m, n, p, q, r and t represent an integer of 0-4, and (a) represents an integer of 0-4) and at least one kind of a gallic acid derivative. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
