<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a communication terminal device to be reduced in size and weight by making the capacitor of a smoothing circuit, which is used for decreasing a drop in a voltage supplied to a circuit used for performing a packet communication to 10% or below, very small in capacitance. <P>SOLUTION: The communication terminal device is equipped with a transmission circuit 4 which makes transmissions as many times as prescribed within a transmission packet period at a certain transmission rate which is previously set, a receiving circuit 5 which performs receiving operations as many times as prescribed within a receiving packet period at a certain transmission rate, a modulator 41 and a demodulator 54 thinning out the frequency of transmission in the period of transmission packets and the frequency of reception in the period of receiving packets, a power supply circuit 7 which supplies a pulse current to the transmitting circuit 4 only in the transmitting period where the frequency of transmission is thinned out, a pulse current to the receiving circuit 5 only in the receiving period where the frequency of reception is thinned out, and a pulse current to a common circuit only in the transmitting and receiving period where the frequency of transmission and reception is thinned out, and a current smoothing circuit which is composed of a resistor 9 and a capacitor 10 to smooth a current supplied from a cell 8 to the power supply circuit 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
