PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera and its photographing method in which camera shake can be confirmed at the moment in time of photographing and useless consumption of a medium for recording image information obtained by photographing can be prevented. SOLUTION: A CPU 32 creates enlarged image information indicative of a specified region of an object image enlarged with a specified magnification based on the image information indicative of the object image photographed by means of a CCD 14. An enlarged image indicated by the enlarged image information thus created is displayed by an LCD (liquid crystal display) 30 and information indicating whether the image information is recorded or not depending on the reference results for the enlarged image thus displayed is inputted by operation for an operating section 56. When the indicating information thus inputted indicates recording of the image information, that image information is recorded on a recording medium 42A as indicating the photographed object image.
