PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering control device capable of achieving stable steering assist control until an alarm is generated after a driver releases a steering wheel. SOLUTION: In this steering control device, steering assist torque can be given in accordance with a shape of a traveling road with the usage of a traveling road detection means. When it is determined that the driver does not operates the steering wheel by an operation determination means, the steering assist torque is much increased and corrected at least at the time of traveling near the center of the traveling road than when the driver operates the steering wheel.
