PSTN TERMINAL HOUSING DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PSTN terminal housing device capable of housing a conventional PSTN terminal as it is in the case of using VoIP technology to perform equipment renewal of a PSTN. SOLUTION: This terminal housing device has a subscriber line interface function part for terminating a subscriber line connected to a PSTN terminal, an IP interface function part for connecting to an IP network, and a conversion function part for mutually converting control protocols of both the subscriber line interface function part and the IP interface function part. The conversion function part comprises a subscriber line signal scenario that stores subscriber circuit control sequences of a conventional PSTN exchange, selects a corresponding subscriber circuit control sequence from the subscriber line signal scenario to control the subscriber line interface function part in response to a VoIP control signal that terminates at the IP interface function part.
