PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity and excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains a compound expressed by the general formula (1). In the general formula (1); R<SB>1</SB>represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, cycloalkyl group, aryl group or heterocyclic group; E represents -NRaRb or -ORc, wherein each of Ra and Rb represents a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or cycloalkyl group, Rc represents a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, cycloaylkyl group or aryl group; and L represents a divalent linking group as a single one or combination selected from substituted or unsubstituted alkylene groups, -O-, -NR'-, -S-, -C(=O)- and -SO<SB>2</SB>-, wherein R' represents a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or cycloalkyl group.
