PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To build-up a technique for preventing separating performance from decreasing even when the number of signal sources is smaller than the number of sensors while securing the maximum separating performance for a target signal by using all the sensors and a technique for realization as a system. SOLUTION: Independent component analyses (ICA) are sequentially performed in a frequency domain (FD) and a time domain (TD) and, in particular, a discrimination stage of a signal of FDICA is divided into a plurality of subblocks. The number of signal sources in this processing stage is estimated and the result of the estimation is used to substantially equalize the number of sensors in actual operation to the number of signal sources.
