PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection hole which can be stably used over a long duration by preventing adhesion of dust and condensable matter to a transparent plate of the inspection hole, an apparatus attached with the inspection hole, a soiling preventing method for the inspection hole, and a gasification melting system. SOLUTION: The inspection hole is composed by attaching the transparent plate 12 to an end part of a cylindrical member 11, and arranging an opposite transparent plate side end part of the cylindrical member 11 in an apparatus interior 14 filled with fluid containing dust and condensable matter. A purge fluid supplying means is provided for supplying purge fluid 100 to a transparent plate 12 neighborhood in the cylindrical member 11, and a straightening mechanism provided with a cylindrical porous plate 15 is provided for straightening a flow of the purge fluid 100 supplied from the purge fluid supplying means.
