PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system with a cylinder resting mechanism of an internal combustion engine, capable of reducing the size of the whole valve system, by efficiently arranging a constitution of the valve system including the cylinder resting mechanism. SOLUTION: A low speed driving rocker arm 32 and a high speed driving rocker arm 38, are arranged on both front and rear sides of a suction driven rocker arm 11. Respective pistons of a low speed cylinder part 16 and a high speed cylinder part 17 juxtaposed on the suction driven rocker arm 11, are constituted so that pressing operation can be performed, by operation arm parts 36 and 41 extended from both driving rocker arms 32 and 38. Thus, the low speed cylinder part 16, the high speed cylinder part 17, the low speed driving rocker arm 32, and the high speed driving rocker arm 38, are intensively arranged in one place, around the suction driven rocker arm 11.
