PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart flexibility to the edge part of a woven seat belt. SOLUTION: The belt is woven with several warp yarns 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and at least one weft yarn 10 and has a central zone 2 and mutually facing two terminal edge zones 3. The warp yarns in the central zone have predetermined shrinking properties. The belt has at least one edge zone between the central zone and one outermost edge. A predetermined number of warp yarns are passed through the edge zone. Each of the warp yarns has a smaller shrinking rate than that of the warp yarns in the central zone.
