PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle the manufacture cost of which is suppressed and which provides improved riding feeling while meeting the need of miniaturization. SOLUTION: The seat for the vehicle is constituted such that a backrest part 14 is provided projectingly upwards from a seat part 13, an ottoman 16 is provided below the seat part 13 so as to project to the front part, the backrest part 14 is inclined to the seat part 13 and the ottoman 16 projects to the front part. Thus, when an operator brings the upper half of the body down to the rear part, since feet can be mounted on the ottoman 16, a cab is not enlarged more than needed, the manufacture cost is suppressed and the riding feeling is easily improved while corresponding to the reduction in size of a hydraulic excavator.
