PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for shellfish selection, which is compact, lightweight, has excellent handleability and solves problems of crack and closure of shellfish. SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a plurality of rotary selection rollers 19-30 that are arranged parallel at gaps G in the direction perpendicular to a conveying direction 18 and slantingly downward along the conveying direction 18 and a rotary drive means 31 for rotating the selection rollers 19-30. At least one of the adjoining selection rollers 19-30 is rotated in the rotation direction to apply force in the upward direction to shellfishes 13 and 13a positioned on the adjoining selection rollers 19-30, the supplied shellfishes 13 and 13a are transported to the downstream edge without dropping the shellfishes 13 having thickness not smaller than the gaps G while being arranged on the adjoining selection rollers 19-30 and the shellfishes 13a having thickness smaller than the gaps G are dropped to separate the shellfishes.
