PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing release information related to a use limit capable of executing license management without spoiling the operation efficiency of a user even in an environment where the connection of hardware keys is limited. SOLUTION: This method for managing release information related to a use limit is provided with an instruction process for issuing a movement instruction by selecting a function related to release information moving from a first identification information storing part in which release information to release the use limit of functions of the device having a plurality of functions is stored to a second identification information storing part, a specification process for specifying the release information related to the movement instruction in the instruction process, a specific information reading process for reading the release information specified by the specification process from the first identification information storing part, and a storage process for storing the release information read from the specific information reading process in the second identificaiton information storing part.
