PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image defects due to omission, damage, and what is called pitching of the tip of a cleaning member coming into contact with an image carrier in the initial stage of use as to an image forming apparatus which uses nearly spherical toner. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is configured to perform an aging process of trial running of the image carrier and a cleaning blade by using magnetic toner after supplying the magnetic toner with high lubricity and polishing property to a fur brush.
