PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumption of a storage area for storing picture data transmitted from a picture server so as to be shared by preventing any unnecessary picture data from being stored. SOLUTION: In the case of a picture sharing system for transmitting only the picture data of the changed part of a display picture displayed by a picture server 101, the size of the image data transmitted when the picture of the picture server 101 is changed is compared with the size of the circumscribed rectangular image data of a mouse cursor by a size deciding part 202. When those sizes are equivalent, the picture data can be prevented from being stored only due to such change as the movement of the mouse cursor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
