PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable silicone resin composition which provides a cured product that is useful for an optical device, an optical component material, an electronic device, an electronic component insulation material, or a coating material, is high in hardness and strength, and is excellent in light transmission in a short wavelength region. SOLUTION: The curable silicone resin composition comprises (A) a siloxane/polycyclic hydrocarbon compound, (B) a siloxane compound, and (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst, wherein the siloxane/polycyclic hydrocarbon compound (A) is an addition reaction product of (a) a siloxane compound having three or more hydrogen atoms coupled with silicon atoms in one molecule with (b) a polycyclic hydrocarbon having two addition reactive carbon-carbon double bonds in one molecule, and the siloxane compound (B) has two or more alkenyl groups coupled with silicon atoms in one molecule.
